Introduction
FM11RF08S (short for RF08S) is a logic security IC which based on ISO/IEC 14443A for the proximity contactless applications. It has excellent compatibility with all kinds of readers, enhanced RF performance and higher reliability of EEPROM.
Comparing with the old version chip RF08, RF08S's security and anti-crack ability have been enhanced by fixing the weak points in the realization of the algorithm without losing of the functional compatibility. The communication distance has also been enhanced keeping the merit of compatibility with all kinds of readers.
The contactless FM11RF08 series IC card chip complies with ISO14443 Type A development by Shanghai Fudan Microelectronics Co., Ltd. The assembly of this IC card chip is 1K×8bits EEPROM. There is an approximate 10 cm maximum communication range existing between the contactless card and the reader antenna.
The encryption and communication circuit also gives the contactless IC card chip extremely high security performance. The smart card chip really works as a multi-application chip, functioning as a processor card using hardware logic. Hence, it becomes possible to tailor the use of our contactless chips to the manufacture of payment card, which is then usable for ticketing operations in the public transport sector and related sectors.
There are three components contained in the contactless smart card and they include antenna, FM11RF08 IC card chip, and the card based mainly on PET or PVC material. This does not require a battery. As soon as the IC card chip is placed in the vicinity of the coupling device antenna, transmission of data with 106-Kbit/s is initiated over the high speed RF communication interface.
