FMSH became the active sponsor of RFID chip technology of worldwide health plan of the Special Olympics athletes after the agreement signed with the Special Olympics in 2008. As a participating technician of FMSH for a 5 year period, I received my dispatch order to America as an honor, having to offer technical support to the Special Olympics in June 2014. That was a great demonstration of the trust my company and leaders have in me. In preparation for a successful work in America, I had quality preparation with Mr. Ke and a number of my colleagues two months before leaving. I got full support in design & printing, NFC labels selection, production, card reader testing and successive system testing, and they all did meticulous work in the above areas. In order to ensure the unhindered reliability and stability of the company’s products, Mr. Ke and I worked out some alternative plans.
As the time approached to embark on my tour to the Special Olympics in America, I visited the New Jersey stadium with Mr. Ke. We were both in Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. In order to specially support the Special Olympics and at the same time, reveal the strength of FMSH and its products, adequate preparation was made by our technical crew to create a welcome platform for athletes’ entry into the stadium.
We were invited by the organizers of the Special Olympics to witness the opening ceremony. In subsequent days, we worked with the support of volunteers from various American states to provide technical consultancy and aid on daily basis, at each service platform. I was most impressed the day I was able to offer information registration service to athletes since there was shortage in the number of volunteers available that day. There was smile on the athletes’ faces as they took the registration procedures and it gladdened my heart to know that I was able to help them.
During the Special Olympics, my attention was drawn to details as I examined and made suggestions on teeth, eyes, health and other conditions of athletes. Working with volunteers, who gave their heart and soul to serve the athletes, was a kind of spiritual baptism. Each of the FMSH technicians was able to avoid errors in behaviors, words, and task as a result of the sense of honor and warm heart with which everyone served at the Special Olympics. On a particular day, at the event, our busy schedule didn’t permit us to take lunch until 9pm, and we all had joy because of such dedication and high-mindedness.
We soon had our 10-day technical support service completed, but our company (FMSH) keeps providing support, and on yearly basis by sending technicians (new employees) to offer technical support during the Special Olympics and personally experience and participate in the event. FMSH retains the Special Olympics spirit till date.
